UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
Good Shepherd has two active UMW circles – The Friendship Circle, and the Reflections Circle. Each circle has a mission and objective that defines its purpose, and are open to every woman — no matter the age. We encourage you to join and get involved.
Friendship Circle – 2nd Wednesday of the month – 11:30am – Parlor
The Friendship Circle is for women of all ages to come together to fellowship, study, and serve. We strive to get better acquainted with other Christian women and learn from one another. We study a variety of topics through video series, motivational speakers, book reviews, and other programming. We also have hands-on demonstrations and projects that will promise to spark interest. We collect donations for the Neighborhood Services Organization as our mission service project. At each monthly meeting, we have a lunch theme and everyone brings a dish to share. We also discuss any business, have a program, and just enjoy visiting with each other. Contact: Wilma Goodwin
Reflections Circle – 2nd Thursdays – 7:00pm – Member Houses
Reflections Circle is a book-reading circle that meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 in the church parlor. Our focus is on reading and discussing an assortment of information and educational books. We also strive to provide items that are needed by our local charitable organizations. Contact: Sharon Burke
